The Crisis

Across Reformed and Anglican churches, doctrinal, liturgical, ethical, and missional drift has weakened the shared apostolic and Reformation foundations that once grounded both traditions. Congregations are unsure what to believe, how to worship, and how to live. The world is unsure what the Church stands for. The crisis is shared; therefore the remedy must be shared.

The Need for a Joint Declaration

Earlier efforts to restore clarity were too brief, too limited, or too open to reinterpretation. Good intentions were not enough to prevent drift or protect future generations from ambiguity.

Introducing the Joint Declaration of Principles

In 2024, concerned Reformed and Anglican clergy and laity began meeting to confront this persistent drift. The result is the Joint Declaration of Principles (2026 Draft) — a unified articulation of the apostolic faith across doctrine, hermeneutics, worship, order, and mission.

It restores the doctrinal centre both traditions were built upon.
